Land Acknowledgement

The Avonmore Community League would like to acknowledge that we live, work and play on Treaty 6 territory the traditional homeland of many Indigenous peoples, including the nêhiyawak (Cree), Métis, as well as the Dene, Anishinaabe, Nakota Isga, and Niitsitapi peoples.

This acknowledgement is a commitment to work towards a positive, respectful, and collaborative future through understanding and partnership; as well as honouring the historic and ongoing contributions of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples to the city.

The Avonmore Community League is committed to caring for the land and everyone who shares it.
