Neighbourhood Watch. We are in the process of forming a Neighbourhood Watch group. Resident Natasha Holmkvist has agreed to be the key contact and Andrea Schmidt will assist her. Email if you are interested in helping. 

Avonmore Playschool. We welcome you to come out on Community League Day (Saturday, September 15th) to view our fresh and revamped space that we have spent the summer improving. Drop in and have fun discovering more about our learning through play programming, all while taking a break and relaxing while your children play. 

We look forward to seeing you there! The fall program begins on September 12th.

Parent & Tot Program. This FREE drop-in program runs weekly and will resume mid-September. Watch the Facebook page and this web site for more details. We do a mix of outside/inside play activities and arts and crafts. Our group has a mix of small babies and toddlers so there is someone for everyone to play with.  

Tool Library. As a pilot project, Avonmore Community League has purchased a one year membership to the Edmonton Tool Library. With this membership, our community league members can now access the library's tools at no charge. They are open Saturday afternoons only.

The library is located at the north end of Gretzky Drive, at 7308 - 112 Ave.

Please be aware that this is a pilot project. If you use the library, please send a quick email to our director-at-large, Bob Raynard. If there is interest and the tool library is being used, we will consider renewing our membership. 

Bicycle Ridership and Traffic Stress Tolerance. Avonmore resident's opinions are being sought to evaluate how different people perceive different types of cycling environments. The survey was designed by the transportation systems research group in Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta. 

The survey will be online through the City of Edmonton starting on August 28, 2018 and until September 18, 2018. Interested participants may take the survey through this link.

Avonmore Youth Club. Avonmore’s Youth Club has started with regular Friday meet-ups at the playground (check the calendar for details). For kids 10-14 years old who can stay at the playground by themselves. Our next event is September 21st.

Avonmore Book Club. Starting in mid September a new Book Club will launch as a “Group” under the Avonmore Community League page. Watch for details here and on the Avonmore Community League Facebook page or contact Anita at
